'GTA V Fans Are Not Happy' - Not True...

Recommended Posts

Guest Marney-1

If you look around the web for updates on Rockstar's upcoming Grand Theft Auto V as often as I do you may be forgiven for thinking the GTA community has gotten tired and seriously pissed off waiting for Rockstar to release the next piece of official news. 'Fans' calling for a boycott of Rockstar Games, 'fans' complaining that Rockstar failed to fulfill their 'promise to release more info in a few months', 'fans' flooding every Rockstar Newswire article (prompting R* to pin the below statement) saying "No one cares about Max Payne 3" etc etc.

While we’re glad that there’s so much ongoing enthusiasm and excitement here for GTAV, understand that further info and details about the game will only come in due time when we are ready to talk and show more.

However, for those of you crossing the line with abusive language and behavior here, or calling for a boycott of Rockstar or other such nonsense – be advised, you will have your commenting privileges revoked.

Also, as it says in Rule #1 above the Comment Box: “Anyone posting links to or discussing supposed ‘leaks’ about our games here on our own site will have their commenting privileges suspended indefinitely.” If we see you linking to anything like that, we will be removing your comment privileges.

Everyone else, we appreciate your positive excitement – please just hang tight and thanks for your patience!

Rockstar Games

The reality is these 'fans' are in the minority. Let's say, as an example, 20 million gamers are looking forward to getting their hands on GTA V, now that's a lot of people - how many of these are actually doing the complaining and how many are actually getting on with their lives by going outside, going to work, socialising with friends and enjoying other games such as Max Payne 3?

The fact is the majority, the huge majority of people looking forward to GTA V are quite happy to get on with their lives happy in the knowledge that Rockstar will release further information when they're ready to do so, and not before.

Rockstar did not 'promise' anything, they said:

First of all, we’d like to again thank you and everyone out there for the amazing response to the debut Grand Theft Auto V trailer. We know that there are a ton of questions you all have about the game, including release date and lots else.

Right now, we are very hard at work on the game and are excited as well to show and tell you more as development progresses - expect that we'll be talking much more about GTAV starting at some point in a few months’ time.

Please hang tight until then and thank you all for your patience and support!

Although some of us find a lot of the whinging amusing this minority are doing their best to ruin what should be a time of enjoying Rockstar's game of the moment - Max Payne 3. Not only that but these few are attempting to disrupt every GTA V thread on various forums including the ones here at iGTA5.com.

I think it's time the real fans began ignoring the few spoiled whingers who think Rockstar works for them and owes them a 'life'.

We are very proud to officially announce that Grand Theft Auto V is in full development.

Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V heads to the city of Los Santos and surrounding hills, countryside and beaches in the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created.

A bold new direction in open-world freedom, storytelling, mission-based gameplay and online multiplayer, Grand Theft Auto V focuses on the pursuit of the almighty dollar in a re-imagined, present day Southern California.

The next piece of official GTA V news will come when they're ready, and not before. No amount of whinging or threats will make Rockstar 'cave in' to your demands before they're ready. The release of info will begin flowing according to Rockstar's timetable - not yours.

There are plenty of GTA V topics to get involved with and help pass the time here in the GTA V forums, stop crying and join in.

i don't agree with the agressive comments but people are starting to become impatient and un-hyped, they put a trailer out six months ago and go very quiet except telling us there'll be more info in a few months but didn't really make it clear whether that was two or three months or more like six so ppl are begining to feel like they're waiting patiently for something that could be another two months away. me personally i think the long wait will just make the next comment spark even more hype than when the trailer was first released.

r* should be flattered though if there's people who love there game so much they literally can't wait and lol on the boycott idea, wish i could see how many of those people actually go through with that lol

I'm kind of hoping the negative comments directed at Rockstar die down before the next bit of info is released because some of them are going to think it was their moaning which 'forced' Rockstar to release it.

As i've always said, the sad cunts who insist on moaning need to find other things to do with their lives.

Would not surprise me if most of these people complaining and calling for a boycot are 12 year olds.I do notice that pile of non happy people is growing though, but i'm pretty sure Rockstar will release something soon ^_^

I agree, it really pisses me off seeing people posting threats, leaks, etc. It's more annoying than anything else!

These people, in my opinion e:g false fans, dirtsheets, etc. are just getting on people's nerves and that's all. GTA is the best game in the world and I'm happy just to sit pumped up with excitement and let the game come out

You're right...I'm not much older than 12, but surely at 12, they have some sort of common sense!

When I clicked on your "Rockstar Newswire" link right below the huge Rockstar Comment there

is a comment saying they talked to Dan Houser and got information from him. It's quite interesting, but it's most likely fake.

It is a little frustrating that Rockstar has released just one trailer and very little information with it over a large amount of time, but that doesn't call for people to use slanderous words and get all worked up over it, the info will come when Rockstar decides it should, they aren't new to the business and have everything planned.

The way i look at it...... The longer they work on the game the more epic it will be. I dont care if we get no more info besides the release date.

Rockstar is playing "Just the tip" with us and it's bullshit. It really is.

Are you implying that R* is planning on fucking us? If so, you are a whiney little brat. Go out and get a life.

"Go out and get a life"

Says the guy posting on a video game forum lol

My comment needs no explanation, figure it out.

And what I gather from R*'s comment is that the game won''t be out any time soon. A year from now if we're lucky.

Dude, dont suck marney's ass so much. Vance is just saying that r* only wants to fuck us a little bit, but not totally deflower us, which i kinda agree with.

I'm stating my honest opinion, as I always do. "Just the tip," as I've always understood it, is what is said before you full on fuck someone.

As to sucking Marney's ass, I'll stop when it tastes bad. And Vance can clearly speak for himself.
