What are you looking for in GTA5?

l really want to feel like im not the only criminal in the city in terms of gameplay not story

Good point, it'd be nice to see a random robbery or something occur which has nothing to do with us instead of just seeing the odd pedestrian get arrested and marched in to a police car.

Purse snatching. You can chase after the robber and steal it for yourself.

it would be good if you could still ride horses like in RDR

Although I wouldn't rule that out I'd imagine Rockstar will hold back on the horses until they (if they decide to) make a new Red Dead.

They should involve some unique stuff which other games haven't based yet.

It might be hard but make a lot more buildings enterable by walking in. Activities to do like sports, gaming and lifely hobbies. Surfing, Basketball, Jet Ski, Parachuting etc.

I want the ability to interact more with random pedestrians, such as the ability to mug or rob, not only money but things like clothing. Also the ability to purchase property like you could in San Andreas, that way you could have as many cars as you wanted and as many safe houses as you wanted. Another thing they could bring back from San Andreas is the ability to break in to houses and apartments and rob people that way. I think GTA 4 could have done a lot better with clothing/accessory options, so hopefully we will see an expanded selection of clothing shops. Also maybe the ability to purchase cars, I know it GTA 4 there is the website with cars listed for sale, it would be cool if there were particularly rare cars that could only be obtained by purchasing them, either from a random seller or from a dealership. Another thing that I think might be possible is the destruction of more than just random objects on the streets and in buildings. For example, an RPG would take out a wall or part of a building, not just leave a black mark where it hit. And to go along with buildings, how about the ability to go into more buildings? This could tie into the ability to rob houses/offices/apartments too, and then you could decorate your own houses with the things you steal, or sell them for quick cash.

One more thing I just thought of, what about the most wanted list? I killed everyone on the list in GTA 4, and then that was the end of it. Maybe have a bounty hunter type gig, another way to make some quick cash.

I'm not sure if any of this would be possible, I know the game is already immensely complex, but just some things I thought about.

yeah would be cool to see more robberies, car chases, and perhaps even cops radioing each other on whereabouts of the suspect. the protag could have the choice of helping the criminal and earn cash/part of the loot and earn respect (if it works like in san andreas)

also would like to hear random gunfights/bullet shots when driving around

i think it would be cool as well to be able to buy a warehouse and save cars. and sell cars!! and i really like the idea of maybe buying and selling stuff, earn loads more money and stuff to spend money that you'll never get bored of.

New Poster, what I want in GTAV is all 3 Cities Los Santos, San Fierro, Las Venturas and all the countyside inbetween including forests, lakes, deserts ( Area 51 ) with plenty of hidden content/minigames and side missions taking place in these locations.

I Definately want more customization like in the older games, for instance:

- In Depth Car Customization ( since it's Grand Theft AUTO ) including Body Kits, Chrome Detailing, Candy/Matte/Gloss Paint Jobs, Vinals, Window Tints, Spinners on the Rims ( maybe with Retractable Spikes like in Saints Row ), etc..... all in all more like San Andreas. Also Performance based Customization like Superchargers, Turbochargers, Nitrous maybe some more Advanced Tuning. I want Hydraulics for my Low Ryders so I can bounce past Mean Mugging Ballers and maybe do a Drive-By ON DA SUCKAS. But also maybe more game changing upgrades which might be unlocked by completing in game challenges or meeting specific requirements like getting hidden packages/tags or what not. For instance Bulletproof/Bombproof car body upgrades ( to turn your favourite ride into a tank ) or Re-Enflatable Tyres ( for when the cops use spike strips) . Other ideas: Subwoofers ( for increased BASS that really Echoes in the Surrounding Environment ), custom car horns ( La Cucaracha/Dukes of Hazard? ), Neon/LED Underglow lights ( when cruising the Mean LS Streets at Night ), some kind of James Bond Gadgets ( like Spiked balls falling out the back of the car when triggered ). Also Boat Customization with Paint Jobs, Body Kits etc, and maybe weapon/armour upgrades ( like Sea Mines/Miniguns/Reinforced Armour Plating ). Also Helicopter/Jet Upgrades ( maybe more Advanced Weapon System Upgrades for these or Secondary weapons that can be used by a Homie/Friend ). Other ideas: Submarines/ Assault Hover Craft/ Jet Packs with built in weapons systems? ).

- Plenty of Interesting Weapons that are upgradeable/customizable ( for instance Suppressors, Laser Beams, Tactical Flashlights ). Different ammo for all the weapons Buckshot/Slug/Beanbag/Frag Rounds for shotguns (bean bag for the luls), Full Metal Jacket Armour Piercing Rounds for Assault Rifles ( for dealing with Armoured SWAT, The FIB or the ARMY ), and Undermounted 203 Grenade Launchers/Masterkeys, Infared/Nightvision scopes for Sniper Rifles (making a spot of night time sniping that much easier). Tracer Rounds for all guns. More melee weapons, bring back the Chainsaw and Katana . Also the ability to dual wield Pistol's, SMG's, Swords and other weapons. More imaginative Weapons like Nunchuks/Shuriken/Bull Whip/Light Sabre/? More blood and maybe dismemberment?

- Recruitable Homies/Friends or Bodyguards that are upgradeable ( For instance better armour, better upgraded cars ) which have different unlockable weapons and you get to choose which ones they use ( for instance Shotgun for Close Quaters, Assualt Rifles for Range ), and the ability to upgrade their skills/weapons and armour the more they fight alongside you ( they gain Experience ). Maybe you could customize the gang itself (once you reach a high enough Level of Respect or become a Captain/Boss/OG within the Organisation/Gang), like say Gang Colours, Gang Signs, Gang Cars, Gang Weapons, Body Armour/Bullet Resistant Vests, the ability to upgrade the gangs Crib/Headquaters ( Personalizing your gang, deciding whether they drive Bently's or Escalade's, are they Sharply Dressed Organized Criminals or a C-Walking, Flag Dropping Set ). Maybe this is going too far, but games such as Saints Row ( which mirrors some of my ideas ), don't have anywhere near the same polish GTA games have. I think Rockstar could create a much better game with some more varied ideas, while still retaining the Quality that they are famous for. Simpler is NOT Always Better.

- I think an ealier poster said this but I want to buy vacant lots and then decide what I want to build there ( Commercial property like buildings/businesses which could become Fronts for your Illegal Enterprises ) so I can rake in the money and really feel like a boss. Maybe incorporate side missions into these properties (like in Vice City Stories but more in depth) And bring back buying cribs for youself and let you decorate and even renovate your new place ( Jewellry/Money/Gun Safe, a Home Cinema, Stripper Poles with strippers included, Massive Fish Tanks with Sharks or Electric Eels in them - Bigger Pool with a waterfall and spa/sauna, Bigger Garage to show off all your custom rides, Massive Gold Statues etc ).

- I want to gamble like crazy at one of the many fine establishments dotted around the Major Cities. From Back Alley Dice Games to Small Seedy Unliscenced Dens to the Deluxe Mega Casinos that offer Special Highroller Rewards ( like Presidential Suites, Escorts, New Cars/Weapons/Rewards). The Casino's cater to every type of gambling you can think of ( some being Horseracing, Blackjack, Poker Machines etc), but especially Texas Hold'em I think should be like Red Dead Redemption's, but with Funny/Dangerous/Crazy GTA NPC's ( maybe make an additional mode for online multiplayer ), with higher stakes like getting your legs broken if you end up deep in the hole, or having a certain amount of time ( till midnight ) to pay up before they come looking for you (think the end of the movie Training Day when Denzel Washington meets his end at the hands of the Russians ).

- Bring back the RPG elements that made San Andreas Special, and which seperated it from the other GTA's as the Best. And also one of the best gaming experiences to be had on the PS2. Like being able to change the look of your character again: Haircut, Tatoos, Clothing ( with more choice ), Gold/Silver/Platinum rolexs, Gold/Platinum chains/rings with diamonds, Piercings, Plastic Surgery, Exercise/Food System ( Fat/Skinny/Muscle like San Andreas ) take away the Driving/Flying skills and keep the leveling up of weapon skills up to Master/Gangsta ( so it makes the game more difficult at first but rewards you the more you play the game ).

- Revamp the Notoriety System so that police won't automatically know exactly where you are every time you commit a crime. And make the Police tougher by giving them Mace and Tasers for lower wanted levels ( when they are still trying to incapacitate you and not kill you ). And SWAT/NOOSE? tougher by introducing Riotshields, Flash/Stun Grenades, Teargas ( and maybe Attack Dogs ). And Ofcourse reintroduce the Army for 6 Stars ( so much fun having Airial Dogfights with Enemy Fighters in San Andreas ), make them a bigger challenge than any previous game has.

- More Cheats like in San Andreas for example: invincible, jetpack, infinite ammo, unlimited clip cheats ( all perfect for starting a massive amount of mayhem ), And maybe one like the riot cheat in San Andreas, except in this game make it like a Zombie Apocalypse where all the pedestrians turn into a Horde of Zombies and start attacking the player, the sky also becomes dark with lightning and no more cars appear on the road. Maybe different types of Zombies like Faster ones, ones with Ranged Attacks, Animal Zombies ( they could make this into a multiplayer co-op mode ). It could be fun with all the different weapons ( like Left 4 Dead ), and with Homies/Friends in Vehicles/On Foot massacreing the Undead. But so it doesn't get boring ( too easy ), as time progresses they get increasingly stronger until eventually it takes a 100 rounds from the mini-gun strait to the head to take them down.

- Better Sound Design, a more Metallic/Mechanical Sound for the Guns to make them sound more Meaty and Realistic. Make differences in Sports Car/Muscle Car Engine Sounds from the regular cars ( so that they actually sound like they have some power), especially when they're upgraded ( It wouldn't hurt if the NPC's reacted to the sound like they were startled/scared when you Rev your Engine or do a Burnout. In fact bring back the NPC's reaction to how you dress as well, the Negative/Positive Comments were good fun back in SA ).

Hopefully we don't have to wait for a Next Gen GTA for at least some of these features to be introduced.

- The things I want to return from GTAlV: The beautiful Graphics ( but even better in the Lighter/Brighter California sun ), the more Realistic Driving Mechanics/Physics ( once mastered are really rewarding ), the Shooting/Cover Mechanics ( which were pretty tight and responsive, but could be improved ).

-The things I want to change from GTAlV: The heavy sluggish on foot control of the protaganist ( Niko was SOO BLOODY SLOW!, I want a character with much better agility to get around this new world they're creating ), The Concentration on Friend Activities being a main gameplay feature incorporated into the story ( no offense but if I don't want to go bowling with my friends in real life, why then would I want to do it in a videogame). I think friends overall were pretty lackluster and not impemented very well. The Friends personalities were entertaining and everything, and the character development was good, but the mini games of the activities got old very fast. And with the constant pestering every 5 minutes ( I was going to KILL Roman if he rang Niko to go bowling again). Spending so much time and effort on these ( boring ) activities for crappy rewards ( free taxi rides when I can just steal a car/free helicopter rides when I can just steal a helicopter/cheap crappy guns out the back of a car, which are then obsolete once you have more money and there are better weapons available).

Hopfully the next game has at least a little bit of customization and no mandatory friend activities. Then along with a solid story and new mechanics, plus a bigger more detailed world. This could be one of the best games of this generation and for some time to come.................................... ( at least until Watch Dogs comes out )

PS: Sorry for so much text.

most of the stuff there will most probably happen but maybe not to your tastes. theyre not going to make it exact lke san andreas otherwise they would do a remake and a remake is lack of imagination.

What i'm looking for in GTA V: Heaps of countryside. Awesome multiplayer. More cars. Car customization (definitely). Heaps of cool melee weapons (BRING BACK THE CHAINSAW!) Driving an 18 wheeler. More countryside detail. eg mud, smashable trees, Dust trails (like in the trailer), Landslides? And more detail when you smash your car. Anyway, that's my opinion.

I want the in game map when paused to be like google maps.

You have the option to have your standard map, like gta iv. but coloured. or you can switch to terrain mode.

I'll be happy with just terrain mode, but could be cool to switch it. And the logos of burger shot etc, could they at least stick them on the map to bring a bit of colour to it. gta iv is so grey and depressing.

after just having watched gone in 60 seconds. I want a list of cars to be able to steal again like sunshine auto's. hope that's it, but i doubt it will be

Always was a good time waster. Can't recall how many times I saw a rare car, jack it during a mission, then drive it back to cross it off the list.

- Ability to replay missions via the phone (like TBOGT)

- Safehouses store weapons and ammo.

- Parking garages to save cars, not the space outside the safehouse.

- Purchasable business assets and safehouses.

- Multiplayer system like Red Dead Redemption. Also no MP Achievements that require grinding.

- Wear a police uniform when doing vigilante missions/don't get wanted level.

- Friends not phoning me to do friendship activities.

- Body armor makes an aesthetic difference to appearance.

- Better rewards, especially for completing the game 100%.

As much character customisation as San Andreas but sadly I don't see that happening with the graphical quality of the games. Lots and lots of side missions and activities to keep me occupied in the (hopefully) huge map.

It's definitely possible to have advanced character customization. At least as advanced as in SA, loads of games have it these days, look at Saints Row 3.

I really would like to have the ability to climb. Sounds simple but, imagine if our character has the skill to climb things well (Im not talking Assassin's creed level climbing ability here) But, just a slightly above basic ability, which also brings with it the ability to free run. I think it will take being chased by cops on foot to a new exciting level. The climbing abilities in GTA games have felt stiff at basic. SA was heading in the right direction but gta4 went backwards imo. (Niko just felt slow and tired, and couldn't climb things well)

The free running and climbing skills could be "learned" in game as a new skill. Just like how you could learn new fighting moves in SA.

(possibly learning the skills over time so you eventually get better at it.)

To me, this wouldn't be a far fetched idea at all.

Of course, I'm not saying with should become super skilled at climbing, like climbing massive cliffs or skyscrapers and with just bare hands and without ropes. (Although, that would be pretty sweet)

It would just be another cool way of getting around. Climbing things and free running over the tops of rooftops etc.

I think the screen shot of the "latino looking guy" hanging onto the moving truck looks promising for this idea.

I want to feel like my character is agile and athletic.

(of course if the Ned Luke guy is the protag, then this idea will seem fucking stupid) haha!

Just putting it out there :)

Yeah but the graphics suffered because of that and resulted in the game looking cartoony. Games with high graphics mainly have only fixed suits or costumes you can wear like Red Dead Redemption.

theres no reason that graphics would be lowered because of more customisation. it only means more work for the modelers.
