  1. My breakdown: San Andreas! Or just Los Santos? Easily tell this from the countryside, inner city and Vinewood scenes. Lots of mentions of Los Santos (Beach Gym sign, van doors) Maybe further trailers will reveal more of Los Santos or San Andreas. 0:08 - Couple with a dog. Animals are in. What else? Countryside so horse etc? Maybe. Birds also spotted in there. 0:09 - Man wearing what looks like a Startbucks T-shirt. New food/drink store possibly. 0:09 - Sign for 'Pleasure Pier' I think it says. Will we be able to ride these this time around? 0:13 - Chopper can be seen flying about in the distance. Can we fly them in 5 like we couldn't in 4? 0:17 - Golf making another appearance. Probably be able to play some way or another again. 0:17 - Also, a little golf cart to the left, dying to be stolen and drove. Didn't get this in GTA IV untill TBOGT I believe. 0:18 - Blimp top right. Can we fly this thing? That would be awesome. 0:19 - Jet Ski's. Named simply 'Speedophile 2000'. 0:20 - Beautiful mountain. Looks amazing, and I do believe this is the Mt. Chilead from SA. 0:24 - Convertible roof opening. Lovely touch, maybe a hint of car modding making a return? 0:25 - Sign for 'Piercing'. Maybe hinting at the customizable options growing. 0:31 - Apartment looking place. Maybe part of the 'big house' mentioned at this point. Is it ours from the get go? 0:32 - Road signs. Los Puerta and Little Seoul. 0:33 - Beach Gym. Remember this from SA. Change the muscles on the main protagonist? I hope so. (Wasn't too keen on slightly chubby Niko) 0:39 - Mile High Club poster. Looks like it's for the building in progress. Could the buildings and work being done actually progress the further you get this time? 0:40 - 40-50 year old man. Main character? Friend? Enemy? 0:43 - Workers in field with plane flying by. Countryside is definitely in. And ability to fly planes again by the look of it. 0:48 - Looks like the start of a bank robbery. 3 guys and a 'BUGSTARS Pest Control, Los Santos' van. 0:49 - Pizza place in background. And a sexy car. 0:50 - 'Up-n-Atom Burger' van. The new Burger Shot most likely. 0:52 - Tramps and house selling suggest the story could be about the recession. Enforcing the money looking V. 0:56 - Hookers and beer. Great combination. 0:55 - Bike up the side of house. YAY. Maybe? No front wheel? I don't care, I'll ride that bitch like a unicycle. 0:58 - Man begging for money, and people look like they are living under the freeway. Again, money issues. 1:01 - Plane again! 1:02 - Man thrown out of club. Clubbing makes another appearance, and a yellow bike, what could that mean? 1:04 - Another beautiful car in a police chase. Man inside looks tanned and bald. Main character? Friend? Enemy? 1:06 - Black man running from police. Very unlikely, but CJ maybe? Unlikely to be CJ as GTA:SA was set what will be 20 years ago. So CJ would be kicking on a bit now. 1:09 - Thats the best looking fire I've seen in GTA. 1:10 - Vinewood. YEAH bitch. 1:11 - Jet, again most likely flyable. Characters - The commentator, and almost certain main playable character is talking about how he is a family man. Almost certain to play a role, kidnapped etc. Bought a big house, so lotta money, but as we see the homeless a lot, maybe he's getting desperate, hence entering/re-entering a life of crime. Returning Characters - Lot of talk of the man we see being Tommy Vercetti. I don't think it is. CJ will be 20 years older in V. Too old to make an appearence? No, but too old to be running along on missions, maybe. Packie flew off at the end of TBOGT in IV to an unknown location. And casting calls for Rockstar projects have included the name somebody 'McCreary', who lives with his cousin. Also, hopping out the back of the van in the trailer, man in the middle looks like it may just be him. Packie is likely to show up in my eyes. Niko had a ticket from Liberty City to San Andreas on Rockstar Social Club. Will he pay us a visit? Planes may not only suggest flying capabilities, but planes require airports, so this may mean the multiple airports around San Andreas, meaning more than just Los Santos. It's all very vague, but god damn it looks so good.
  2. So now that the trailer has been released, what are your predictions on the protagonist? From the trailer we can hear a voice which might be the protagonist, but nothing can be said yet. In my opinion, he sounds Caucasian and would fit the white guy looking off his balcony in the trailer. Then there is hispanic/black? guy that reappears constantly as well. Here is my theory: There are 3 protagonists, 1 from Los Santos, 1 from Las Venturas and 1 from San Fierro. As in GTA IV, there were 3 protagonists. Maybe as this trailer only focused on Los Santos, 2 more trailers about the other cities will be released with different people voicing over, as the protagonists. Hopefully we play an african-american or hispanic character, but that's just what I would prefer. But its great to see San Andreas again. What are your opinions and theories?
  3. Quite exciting.
  4. New squad cars, laser attachments on guns, confirmed Infernus, etc. Possibly the best set released yet.
  5. I know I thought of some bullshit about GTA V being released on 7th August 2012. This isn't me trying to be popular, as I don't give a shit what anyone thinks. But the whole thing about me being shot. That was funny, I must admit. Anyway alot of may already know this, but GTA V is deffinetly October 2012. The main reason being that GTA V is 87% finished!! The other reasons are like this: 1) On some Google thingy GTA V's release date is shown October 2012. Apparently some Rockstar employee put this on Google 2) The trailer released in 2011, so 2013 release is BULLSHIT!! This is probably the most obvious reason. 3) Like many other people, I believe the 2nd GTA V trailer will come out on 24th May. This also gives away it's deffinetly 2012. 4) Rockstar confirmed that Crews and Gang Wars will be in GTA V. This deffinetly tells us GTA V is near completion (87%) If anyone has other thoughts or reasons. Please post them!!
  6. I looked in the search bar and couldn't find anything so sorry if a similar topic already exists In GTA IV, I thought some of the story mode game play was a little weird. For example, you always drove everywhere, starting from the first mission. I'm a huge fan of driving, however I think it's a bit unrealistic that you are driving your friends/mission associates everywhere when they know the city better than you do and you don't even know where your going sometimes( I know you have GPS but that's beside the point) And also, your friends call you to hang out at really strange times. For example, after you kill Dimitri, Roman would call me to go bowling or some shit. I don't feel that Niko would be up for bowling after that... Second of all, there needs to be more of a variety of missions instead of the classic GTA IV: go and kill this person, or go make this deal for me which goes wrong and then kill that person. That's what I liked about TBOGT. They added creative missions like the triathlon and the export car mission ("No. 3" I think) They need more missions like these and "3 Leaf Clover" in GTA V. Agree, Disagree? Leave your thoughts
  7. http://m.rockstargam.../transport.html Rockstar said their releaseing more this week
  8. So in past GTA's we had many types of intractable buildings. IV however, didn't have as many as lets say San Andreas. Here are some ideas. Hotels - Basically if you need a place to stay and get rest/ Help your health you can pay to stay at a hotel (Enterable Lobby, Hallways, Rooms, and elevators) There could also be different rated hotels and quality. Hospitals - This is pretty obvious as to why it should be enterable. There should be doctors you can pay to replenish health like in IV with ambulances. Convenience stores / Gas Stations - It would be nice to be able to go into these stores. It would just add to the realism of the city. <------ Key Required Mega-Marts/Chain Stores - You can buy basic supplies here like clothes and maybe stuff for your home (if you can decorate your home) What would you like to see? Thanks to Dup for the idea.
  9. The amount of whining coming from spoiled little brats is getting on my tits. Not only on fan sites like this one but on every article on Rockstar's Newswire too. Comments like "We don't care about crappy Max Payne 3 just give us GTA V news now!" are a complete waste of time and prove these idiots lack the brain cells required to add anything of interest for the rest of us to read. Try using your brain to think of something constructive to say or just don't say anything at all. Rockstar aren't going to give in to your apron string pulling like your mother probably does every time you scream at her for an ice cream. Grow up!
  10. Well, since we just found out that bicycles are back, (just like I had hoped) does anyone think they will put bicycle, plane, and vehicle skill levels? Just a thought. Just like the skill level on the bike in San Andreas. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- anybody watch olli43's video on information with filling your gas tank? anybody think you will be able to do that?
  11. What do you believe we will see next from Rockstar about GTA V?
  12. Tomorrow Take Two will announce it's results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2013 and give out it's predictions for the rest of the fiscal year. You may ask yourself "What does this have to do with GTA V?" Well depending on its predictions for the rest of the year., it could give us a release window on whether GTA V could be released by the end of the fiscal year. Here is the link: http://ir.take2games...3589&highlight= There is a link on the page to listen to it live.
  13. How would you feel if (this is highly unlikely btw) Rockstar only gave us very minimal information on GTA V right up until release? Let's say they gave us the basic plot, a few main character details and hardly anything about the Los Santos map itself. When GTA III came out I hadn't even seen or read anything about it so the whole game and map was an unknown thing to me. Every corner I turned and every mission I was given I went into blind, everything was new and fresh. So, how would you feel if GTA V were to release with hardly any information, would you prefer it that way or do you want as much info as you can get before release?
  14. Grand Theft Auto has always been an amazing game. Jacking cars, shooting suckers in the face, all that shit. But have you ever thought it would be nice to change up the experience a bit? We've seen the toughened criminal bit many times. Do you think you would like to play as a cop for once? Here's my train of thought. GTA 4 was an awesome game. I loved it. I played the shit out of it until there was nothing more. Then TLAD came out. And that was awesome! And I played the shit out of that too. But it didnt take so long. Then TBOGT came out, i played through it then put it away. The problem with this DLC is that it doesnt provide a lasting experience. Once you beat all the missions on all the games, youre faced with the choice of nationality of your character to keep it fresh. Thats it. Sure you get a few different cars and a few different guns, but a car's a car and a gun's a gun, right? I think playing as a cop would be a welcome change, even if it is only DLC. Sorry for the long post. Tell me what you guys think. Do you think this would be fun? Any other ideas to keep it fresh?
  15. well ive started a crew called Power house deticated to causing mayhem in gta5 with muscle cars. and the point is i don't have max payne and would like to get some stats. and i would like to know if you in a crew and your gimic or style. and please join power house
  16. Credit to CantPauseToast at GTAF for this one... In the docks multiplayer map of Max Payne 3 there's an office with some pictures on the wall. The pictures show a couple airplanes including what appears to be the same type of plane at the very end of the trailer (Shamal) and the newer Hydra-type. There is also a large cargo plane similar to a C-130: Extracted image by GooD-NTS: GTA V images: A similar thing happened with Red Dead Redemption goats appearing in a Weazel News commercial for The Ballad of Gay Tony (2:00) a couple years ago. Rockstar confirmed the goats were RDR. Since these models are proven to exist and be used for something, this has more credibility than the Max Payne 3 vehicles list. Will we see the large cargo plane in GTA V or will it be a part of Max Payne 3 DLC?
  17. I would love to see lots of serious and unserious things in GTA V. Not "unserious" as in Saints Row style but like dismembering people, myths, insane vehicle and weapon customisation, etc. Serious things like plane crashes, car crashes, murders, etc. How "serious" and "unserious" do you think GTA V will be?
  18. Just heard that 2K Games (Rockstar Czech) have delayed their October release of Bioshock Infinite (or something) has now been delayed to February 2013 apparently due to GTA V. I don't know for sure, but if this is true, then this is another factor of the GTA V October 2012 release date...
  19. So this guy named Glogger posted something about GTAV and now the post is deleted and he is banned from Gamespot. This post was made in the Gamespot forum Here's the the cache to the page: Here is what he wrote Mar 12, 2012 4:22 pm GMT Hello! I am a friend of someone who recently got sacked from RockStar North for general misconduct. Because one contract to RockStar covered everything, including secrecy, and his contractual obligaton was now removed, he was legally allowed to spill the beans on Rockstar's upcoming GTA V. And he is making damn sure everyone knows about it. Here is the info you really want: 1. The protagonist will be one character, and one character alone. His name is (as some rumours said) Albert De Silva. He's a half hispanic man who was once part of a crime family in Vice City. He decided to settle down and have kids in Los Santos. He has one son called Kevin De Silva who is your stereotypical CoD player. He's lazy, useless and shouts racial abuse online and is really into FPS games. Kevin does admire his Dad though. 2. Multiplayer will hold 32 people on the Xbox and PS3. I wasn't told how many were able to be on the PC. Just like in RDR, players will be able to form Gangs. These gangs are not ranked through XP anymore, but via Reputation. Instead of gang hideouts, you can do jobs that range from robbing a launderette to breaking into a military base and stealing state-of-the-art weaponary. The Gang leader has much more control over his or her gang by being able to rank members of their gang and setting more specific objectives to specific members of their gang. Gangs can have their own terratory but this only applies to areas inside the city of Los Santos. 3. The map is about 5x as large as the GTA IV map and the City of Los Santos takes up just under half of this area (so it's a bit bigger than 2 GTA IV Liberty Cities). The map is (like most GTAs) seperated into three different sections. 4. Planes are flyable, they range from World War 2 fighter planes to Private Jets. 5. Cars and guns are customisable to an extent, for example, you can cusomise a gun to have a supressor on it and you can install nitrous into cars. Here's some stuff you might like: 1. The protagonist is the "rich guy" from the GTA V debut trailer. You get to learn more about this man in the second when he talks about his troubles. You only see the protagonist twice in the trailer. First time is the side of his face and second time is when he is driving a Deceptor (Audi R8). The people robbing the jewellery store are just with the protagonist. He is driving the van ready to get away. 2. Gunfights are more realistic. When you are shooting a gun out of a window of a car, depending on how fast it's going you will have troubles aiming due to shaking cameras. 3. The game is due in May 2013. A more specific date has not been decided because the game is still needing 6 months to be fully developed. They will have a playable demo at E3. 4. Police chases are now way more than either running or driving. Depending on how wanted you are, police may bring out riot shields and flash bangs. 5. When someone reaches 4 star wanted level, there will be a radio warning on some stations. 6. Radio stations now do traffic reports that are actually correct. So if you don't know what route to take, you can check the traffic reports on your phone or the radio. 7. The in-game TV now has many more channels 8. Admin edit: Spoiler for previous Rockstar Games 9. The underworld actually has a working economy that you can contribute too by buying and selling drugs, weapons and illegal cars in single player. 10. The protagonist can take drugs which will have some effects. But smoking weed on the streetwalk will lead to getting a one star wanted level. 11. Police cars will go after you if you're obviousely breaking the speed limit. Having high speed crashes will also damage your health. Wanted levels: 1 star - police follow you on foot and try to make an arrest. No sirens, no car chases (unless you are speeding). 2 star - police will still attempt to make an arrest. If a weapon is drawn then the police will begin opening fire. Police will use stun guns if a weapon is not drawn. 3 star - Chases begin and the police don't care how they stop you, they just want to do it. 4 star - road traps, radio stations and much more hostile police.Even when you have evaded them, they will still search for 24 in-game hours for someone matching your description. 5 star - shoot to kill, arrest only if it's made very possible. Even when you have evaded them, they will still search for 48 in-game hours for someone matching your description. Few missions become unavailable if you are wanted. 6 star - military vehicles come after you. Even when you have evaded them, they will still search for 72 in-game hours for someone matching your description. Some missions become unavailable if you are wanted. Hope this is useful!
  20. Helloooo fellow posters, I've used the search for this and couldn't find anything so correct me if I'm wrong, now anyway I've been playing San Andreas recently and one thing I forgot about that they took away from it in IV was the skill levels for the guns, vehicles and the character (Muscle, Stamina, max health ect) so it got me thinking, should they bring this back into GTA? post your thoughts!
  21. http://www.nowgamer....ent_report.html Thought it would be interesting to link this as I have seen a few of you mention you'd like GTA V to copy certain parts of games like Mafia II.
  22. We had these "random" encounters with strangers in GTA IV and even RDR with people giving us stupid little side missions to complete, so will this continue in GTA V? Many of them had an actual life that progressed (or deteriorated) as the game went on which made it interesting to do them and see where their lives went. OPx just gave me a good idea for one: We find an up-and-coming actress who ends up doing porn. (fits perfect in Vinewood) We could end up rescuing her from that lifestyle later or she ends up making it big in porn. So what other kinds of these side missions would you like to see or think will fit in GTA V?
  23. Hi all, Well everyone is hunting for a release date for the game but I don't care too much for the console release date I want to know when it will be available for the PC. So when do you think it will be available? 6 months after is my guess. Also how many of you are going to be playing GTA V on PC? Tommy
