    XBOX One

Apparently, Microsoft is preparing to reveal their answer to the PS4, which is due out over 2013's holiday season. Source: http://www.computera...o-ps4-in-april/ Discuss.

    State of Decay

The end is here. Life as you knew it has gone to hell after the mother of all zombie outbreaks. Now you and the few scattered survivors must band together to survive and rebuild in a 3rd-person action game set in a dynamic open world. You choose where to make your stand, designing and fortifying your home base, performing daring raids for food and ammunition, and rescuing other playable survivors with unique talents. The open, sandbox world develops in real-time, shaped by your actions, dynamically generating content based on your choices and the ever-increasing zombie threat. State of Decay is an open world zombie-survival game, currently under development at Undead Labs for release on Xbox 360 / Xbox LIVE Arcade and PC.
  3. Since my POS Xbox loves overheating, I am deciding whether or not I should just leave the case off entirely. For those of you well-versed in modifying and maintaining XBox 360s (stares at Con), I'd love some advice. Will this harm my XBox over time, do you recommend it, etc. I appreciate any advice.
  4. Okay superusers, I would like to ask for some help in making a choice in consoles (and communities.) I am normally a PC gamer, who has been sort of forced to go Mac. Obviously, gaming on a mac is horrible outside of Blizzard titles. So I am ready to get my first console since I bought my PS2; which I got exclusively because I saw GTA SA gameplay and fell madly and passionately in love. Bought my PS2 the next day acctually. In fact, I only played a few other titles on that great console. Anyways, around the time that GTA 4 was coming out, I was ready to upgrade to the 360 or PS3 when I got my girlfriend pregnant and consequently went back to university to finish my degree and obviously had no money to spend on things like this. So I missed much of the console war shake-out. Imagine I am a time traveler who looked out the window once or twice: I know that Blu-Ray won the HD format battle, and vaguely know that DLC came out for the XBOX crowd and either later or never for the PS3 crowd, and that the PSN was hacked to shit multiple times, and that there are more subscribers to MSN than PSN. Okay. So now I am getting all excited for GTA 5 and finally getting to play GTA 4 and the awesome looking DLC, which I have struggled mightily to avoid learning too much about to allow me a great experience when I finally get to play. I need to decide which console to buy and which community to buy into. Here are my questions: 1: There was a time delay for releasing the content for the PS3, and MSN users got it first. According to what I read on wikipedia, there was a 14 month delay between the initial release of the "Lost and the Damned" on XBOX and when they released it all for PS3 users. SO::: Should I expect a similar time lag for getting GTA 5 DLC this time around on PS3 or was that a one-time arrangement? Do we have information on content exclusivity for this title? 2: Is there a significant difference in the communities and community experience between the two consoles? Can anyone tell me what, if any, multiplayer communities exist and are they a major part of the post-initial gameplay/playthrough? 3: Are netflix subscriptions included in the sub fees or is it just that the sub fees allow you to use the console in place of say, a Roku for a Netflix Streaming you already purchase? 4: Finally, beyond GTA, is there a significant difference in title quality/libraries? The exclusives didn't really make me cringe, I do think Uncharted looks fun but XBOX seems to have more exclusives. I don't give a fuck about HALO, btw. Is there more DLC in the MSN? Based on the knowledge Microsoft will have of the online community world and the seemingly prominent relationship between Rockstar and Microsoft I am leaning X Box right now. Thanks in advance, Families!
  5. Hello, all. I'm thinking of putting some "Bio Art" in my Live profile. You know, the pretentious symbols and nonsense that Mountain Dew-fueled 9-year-olds put in their bios to let you know how cool they are? Anyway, I've got a couple questions for whoever is knowledgeable enough to answer them. First, does XBL penalize you for putting any "Bio Art" in? I've heard stories of people getting suspended for it. Second, does anyone know the basics of it? Can anyone give me any tips, or at least tell me what I should/shouldn't do, etc... Lastly, does anyone have any in their profiles? I understand that you mostly are PS3 owners, so maybe all the rest two of the other 360 players will be able to help me. Thanks in advance for any help anyone is able/willing to provide.
  6. So since Microsoft is going hard on this SmartGlass campaign, and are talking about special features for certain games, can we expect something for GTAV? Since the phone is used in game, a "gta phone" opening in SmartGlass or as a separate app would be pretty useful. They said the phone won't be used as much, and it would take a totally different dev team, but an addition like this would be pretty useful. You'd be able to use your phone at anytime at least. Thoughts?
  7. Hello, I have a question about transferring licenses for content on Xbox Live. If I were to receive the license for a DLC (namely BF3 Premium), would the donating party still keep the content? (Cock-knockin' EA charging fitty dollas...) Much obliged, GunSmith117
  8. I don't know much about xbox360 innards, but being owned by microsoft i wonder to what extent is it similar with pc hardware and, on the other hand, how different is it from ps3 hardware. anyone got any hints on that?
  9. So I don't think there is a topic on this, at least nothing came up when I typed in "console". Anyway it's straightforward... What console(s) do you own? Would be interesting to see how it's divided. For the PC option I mean for gaming, because almost everyone has a PC. I only included the major 3 of the current generation as well.
