  1. I really believe that The Division is going to be the next truly exceptional game. The only game that I'm excited for at the moment! Although, I've heard Destiny is going to be pretty expansive.

    Also this.

    Real life Watchdogs

  2. Jesus Christ. Does Ubisoft know that Monolith just painted LoTR shit over Assassin's Creed?

There must have been some kind of collaboration I don't know about, because the mechanics and animations are identical to Assassin's Creed. They even have fucking Eagle Vision. The only thing missing is the hidden blade.

This is exactly what I thought when I saw the game. EVERYTHING is the same. They've just changed the textures, it's like watching a mod.

  3. I Carry Your Heart by EE Cummings

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in

my heart) i am never without it (anywhere

i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done

by only me is your doing, my darling)

    i fear

no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want

no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)

and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant

and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows

(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud

and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows

higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)

and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

  4. The Witcher is an amazing series. I loved the combat system, and the potion crafting was very extensive, forming an important game mechanic.

With regards to PS4, I'm probably going to buy in 2015 when The Division comes out.

  5. Cook one cup of quinoa. In a big bowl, open one can of beans (chickpeas, kidney beans, mixed beans, black beans), whichever one you have or like best. Add one tin of quartered artichokes and a tin or two of tuna. Add some sliced manzanilla olives, whole kalamata olives (the sliced, bland canned ones should be banned), and/or capers.

Blend with the quinoa. Check seasoning, you could add some olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper etc, or just leave as is. Will keep for days tightly sealed. That's all cans or jars, plus cooking quinoa which is same as making rice; high protein right there.

If you have the time or inclination, here are other optional ingredients: finely chopped onion, carrot, celery, sweet peppers, herbs, green onions. The veggies work uncooked (in which case tomato/cucumber/red onion are also options) but I find they're better sauteed first with some salt, pepper, cumin and lemon, chili flakes if you like it hot. Toss with the beans/tuna/artichoke mixture before adding the quinoa. There's room for lots of variations depending on what you like and what you have in the pantry.

At eating time, feel free to add more 'salad dressing' type ingredients, lemon/vinegar, a bit of olive oil, hot sauce, a good bottled dressing; or tahini and sesame oil are a nice variation on mayo. It's tasty hot, cold or room temp. Eat with a chunk of bread, pita or toasted bagel for the carbs.

Wow thanks a lot gtagrl! I will definitely try this, I've been thinking about switching to quinoa for a while now. A few of my PT friends told me it has relatively high protein content.

And Brian, sandwiches are a great idea too, I'm definitely looking to cut for summer. Time is my enemy, but I will definitely try some turkey sandwiches in the future. Sounds better than turkey/rice combo i've been cobbling down the past week.

If there's one thing this forum knows about, it's food.

  6. Anybody got any tips for QUICK meals (~500 calories), preferably 1:1 carbs and protein, low fat. I'm so sick of eating half a kilo of turkey and rice.

My friend suggested a can of chickpeas, two cans of tuna, a can of sweetcorn, and a diced onion. Mix it together, split it in two, then add some light mayonnaise when you want to eat it. Only takes about 5 minutes to make, or however long it takes you to open 4 cans.

It helps if I can make it in advance and eat it later at work, but warm food for dinner is good too. For the next 9 weeks, food is just fuel :(.

  7. It's official: The Last of Us is coming to the PlayStation 4 this winter.

The game's new-gen version will be called The Last of Us Remastered, and will include higher resolution character models, improved shadows and lighting, upgraded textures, and more.

It will also include a director's commentary for all in-game cinematics featuring creative director and writer Neil Druckmann, game director Bruce Straley, and voice actors Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson (Joel and Ellie).

The game's story expansion Left Behind will be bundled in, as will the Abandoned Territories multiplayer map pack and something called the Reclaimed Territories pack - details of which are coming soon according to Sony.

Those who preorder The Last of Us Remastered will receive 100 Supply Points (XP) for use in Factions mode, two special bonus skins for Joel and Ellie which will be unlocked after you complete the single player campaign, increased crafting and healing speeds, increased 9mm reload speed, and a rifle clip capacity increase.

The Last of Us Remastered will be a full price release, and according to Druckmann Naughty Dog is targeting 60 frames per second for the game.

  8. Vikings (TV show) - 8.5/10

Why the fuck have I only just discovered this?! I have a massive fondness for pirates, and vikings are essentially the original pirates. Fuck, eat meat, drink ale, kill stuff, pillage, burn, and fuck some more. Is this not life?

    Entourage (TV show) - 8/10

Has some great cameos in this show, and the plot isn't too bad either (in that there isn't really one).

    Workaholics (TV show) - 9.5/10

TV doesn't get much better than this, similar to the first few seasons of Community, this really captures a niche audience. BUT, if you can relate to the humour, it will literally be the funniest thing you've ever watched.
