  1. I didn't make craft it, so I can't say for sure how it was spiced. There was definitely baharat in it, so I'd guess cumin and clove and coriander and peppers and such. Probably much more, I wish I knew what. I think there's a couple of Italian versions, too, now that you mention it...
  2. Kusa mahashi (sic?), fat zukes stuffed with spiced rice, beef and lamb.
  3. Munsters photo shoot, anyone?
  4. I shudder to imagine that. I've been lucky enough to watch my cats survive traffic (with a bit of blood and thumps occasionally) over the years. Now, I just let my cats onto the porch for sun when they're in the mood. I'd have loved to adopt him into my nice home, but disease is a risk, like you said. Who knows what he'd transfer to my kitties, other than immense jealousy. Plus taking him in would probably crush his current caretaker's heart, not to mention my other cats'. EDIT
  5. He seemed partially cared-for, at least, probably by a tenant of the apartments on the other side of the trees. There were tiny piles of kibble strewn about, plus a couple of makeshift shelters in his little sanctuary: muddy tarps suspended over rotten wood crates and upturned wastebaskets/tubs. He seems happy in spite of the squalor, but that's a sad way to live.
  6. Me too, I hated leaving him there. He was pulling, sucking and nibbling on my fingertips too, but he still wouldn't allow himself to be stroked or patted. I got quite a bit of film, will try to upload the rest today.
  7. The other day while waiting for a pizza, we found an amazing little kitty living a relatively comfortable life in a filthy thicket behind the joint.
  8. What a find, Truth. Got a name yet?
  9. Freezing plant foods makes the cells undergo lysis, where the cell wall is ruptured as the water molecules within expand during freezing. However, roots like potato and parsnip don't contain that much water, compared to other plant parts. I can only guess that freezing would improve the texture. Then again, I've never used a frozen root, so I could be totally, bass-ackwards wrong.
  10. I think we're all supportive of the Green Party.
  11. Progress is progress. Federal legalization is hardly on our horizon down here.
  12. Congratulations, Canada. I can't imagine your country not legalizing.
  13. Every time I drink, I sob like a fool. Never once gotten a decent liquid high. As a clueless American, what's happening on the 19th? Medical or full legalization? @Brian: the second pic was actually a micro shot from my USB scope. Unfortunately, nobody knew the name of that stuff...gone forever.
  14. This is some of the best weed I've ever found. My God, the smell.
  15. Vinnie, an indoor cat, expanding his mind with fresh outdoor air and fresh outdoor catnip: He did not want to go back inside after this. Big mistake.
  16. That pic + Mr. Raspberry Jam bathed in the desk lamp's light, on the other page...great work, folks. Can't wait to try the editor myself.
  17. QD... bOnEs...you like the Whopper? Smile and ask them to make it "off the broiler, *please*". It's the only way to eat it. Worth the extra minute's wait.
  18. There's meat, it's just the same color as the bun.
  19. ^I do the same, but I rarely get a name. Most of my dealers are clueless. God, I wish I could get my harvests timed to the point of self-sufficiency. Infini-weed FTW.
  20. Wow. You did the right thing, bOnEs, much love to you and Smokey.
  21. So sorry to read that, bOnEs. You can see the concern on her face in the second pic, you obviously gave her a lot of love to earn that devotion. How old was she?
