Welp, I spent yesterday stacking firewood and had a moose roast in the slow cooker all day. I feel extra Canadian today.

It's similar to beef in taste and texture, although darker, redder and more lean. It's mildly gamey in flavour but not as pungent as lamb/mutton or deer. I think we just got meat from a well-fed beast, because I've had moose steak before and wasn't nearly as impressed. The slow cooker can make anything taste good. When I make pulled pork, I use a bajillion spices, but this pot of heaven was really simple by comparison. I've never tried kanga meat, what's that like?

I've tried 'gator burgers. Kinda tasted like fishy chicken, which i didn't like. I wold like to try a steak next time.
