  1. It says "powerful" weapons...does that mean there are only RPG/sniper/carbine lying around and no pistols or melee?
  2. Thanks for the invitation...at least I found out before the event date. Why was the smallest island chosen, out of curiosity? My name has no "i".
  3. Being able to swim. Being fireproof and working your way up to 6 stars using only molotovs. Riding a motorcycle to the Blueberry betting track over and over and over until I won $12 million. The sheer variety of terrain. Jetpack. The Venturas strip. That helicopter at the north end end of the map. Finding the 100th tag.
  4. SA seems a popular favourite, and I get it, but for me it's gotta be III. I love the way the opening images pop up in time witn the music in III, it's hypnotic. Opening music gets me immersed in the world that's loading and immediately in the right headspace. Honourable mention to TBoGT.
  5. They shut down the Blockbuster in my town, and there's nowhere else to rent games nearby. I'm forced to wait for price drops. They just shut down the Rogers in my area too, have to go to a gas station for movies and games now, fortunately they have a good selection. R* games are must own tho.
  6. In the display settings, I'd like to be able to pan the main character view around, then set the exact angle you'd like to play from while driving, walking, rampaging etc during free roam gameplay.
  7. The start is always a balancing act, you have to do enough "exposition / tutorial" missions to unlock certain abilities, stores, weapons, minigames etc. That said, I like to get to the first save point then go play in the sandbox. Find some weapons, take in the scenery, explore the limits.
  8. Next time I'll have to ask them what they think happens to non-JWs when they die and report back. We aren't having much luck in here.
  9. I want maybe some more variety and total overall choice than was in SA--clothes, tattoos, hair & beard styles (liked having blue spiky), jewellery etc.--but at the same time, not so much more that you have to spend an hour browsing through 1149 shades of blue for your tracksuit. I also liked having preset costumes, like uniforms you get to keep after missions.
  10. He approached and was swiftly dispatched.
  11. Delightful! I'll have to try something like that. Last time it happened, I answered the door in my bathrobe with coffee in hand and became speechless with anger when I saw the kid. (btw it was oversize huge plaid terrycloth, not anything slinky or revealing, I know how you sick bastards think.)
  12. That's part of the reason I like it. Buddhists are nice and quiet. They do what they do, and they leave you to do what you do. They don't care if you believe what they believe, and they can talk about their beliefs without insulting or belittling yours. That's why it's the only one I have any respect for. When you stack the cards in your favour and give people ultimatums, it smells suspciously like hard sell bullshit. What do you do when they knock on your door on Saturday morning, peddling their faith, with one of their brainwashed children along for the ride?
  13. I like Buddhism, personally. I know that's weird coming from me, but there you have it. That's the only one that I have any respect for. Religious people make me uncomfortable.
  14. It's a fact that the media is full of shit. What pisses me off are the ignorant fools who believe it.
  15. Agreed. Unless someone who has one & really likes it has anything to add, you summed it up nicely.
  16. I have a PS3 but haven't bothered getting a Move controller, been waiting for a game that would be worth getting it for. Perhaps those of you who do have a motion controller (Move, Xbox Kinect or Wii Motionplus) could weigh in on whether you like it, and how it might be used for GTA V? Tell me what you think.
  17. Who's played Just Cause 2? I really liked the map size, variety of topography (from snowy mountains to tropical beaches to desert to dense urban centres), and Rico has the grappling hook / parachute combo as a travel option in addition to the variety of vehicles, boats and aircraft. Obviously GTA V's main character won't have a grappling hook, but parachutes were used before. If parachutes are a part of the game again, you don't need as many formal airports or landing strips; just bail, let your craft crash, and glide down to safety. If the sandbox is as vast as they say, they'll probably incorporate a quick-travel method again (like extraction in JC2) where you can buy a plane ticket if you want to fast track getting from one corner to the other. TreeFitty, love your map. You should get a prize.
  18. Hello to all the crazy wack jobs on this forum. I'm a Canadian chick living on the east coast with a background in theatre & opera...so pirate-like drinking and wenching is a way of life. (No, I'm not an actor or singer, I worked backstage.) GTA is my favourite game series, but I also like Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, Just Cause etc. in addition to R*'s other classics like RDR & LA Noire. Headshots and helicopters are my specialty. I became a member since you guys seem to have the most up-to-date and best sources of genuine information about the game. Fortunately the interesting mix of disturbing characters on this forum are far more entertaining than any other GTA site I've found, so that should keep me laughing until more about the game is released.
  19. The radio stations are an awesome feature...I just want an interesting variety to choose from. They should bring back a classical music station (like Double Cleff in GTA III)...then I can listen to Mozart while mowing down peds. They won't put in an homage to VC in a west coast setting but there certainly will be rock, hip hop, country, metal and reggae. More April Wine please!!!
  20. GTA V release Christmas 2013 http://www.elecplay.com/all/spotlight/feb-6-rundown-insidious-2-grand-theft-auto-v-video/
  21. I hope we can enter/interact with more buildings this time.
  22. Bring back the chainsaw!!! And what about a sniper pistol like the Tau in Uncharted 3, that would come in handy for sure.
  23. There is such a thing as too much realism...next someone will want to file taxes as a way to use game money. I'm sorry, I just don't see the point.
