  1. They also said that mission checkpoints were introduced in TBOGT, when they were introduced in San Andreas and IV (in larger missions), then further implemented into every mission by TLAD.

What are you talking about? when did SA and IV have checkpoints

You seriously don't remember? While checkpoints were clearly not available throughout every mission, they did have checkpoints in the games' longer missions.

In San Andreas "Trip Skip" allowed you to cut out long drives before a shoot-out, chase ect, but you have to reach a specific point (a "checkpoint") in order to use it. Also, I specifically remember the final mission had multiple checkpoints, as it was a long-arse mission.

"If you had completed one or two parts and replay the mission, the first parts will be skipped and you will start from when you have failed the mission"

This was also present in GTA IV's final mission, as it too was super long.

  2. im not that suprised they have difrent radio stations and not the same ones

hey new game new city new radio stations right the old ones would have never lasted any way exsept for mabey k roase.

Why would all the radio stations be the same from San Andreas? Where all the radio stations from GTA3 in IV? The only time they've been similar between game is in VCS and LCS, which take place a few years before from their predecessor in the same location.

Also, do you think we might even get a map reveal of some sort from IGN later on in the week? (I know it's a bit of a stretch, but they've surely seen it by now!)

Man, the draw distance in real life sucks! See, the real world has bad graphics!

Why can't it be crystal clear and haze free, like Far Cry 3?

But seriously, Rockstar always packs a tonne of fun stuff into their maps, unlike a lot of other open world titles. I mean, even after finishing a game 100%, you can still enjoy yourself. I mean, have you ever stalked a ped in RDR or LA Noire? The way that they interact with the world is amazing!

Reckon we'll get an official map release before the 17th?

  5. seems to me that this map isn't really going to be that big.

i would expect it to be RDR size over all, but thats going to seem much smaller now we have speed on our side (i.e. cars and jets as opposed to horses and trains)

it's already been said that the total size of the map won't just be land mass. The ocean is included since we can actually go underwater. So the map will be plenty big but not the size of just cause 2. Just cause 2 map was huge but there really wasn't that much to do besides mess around. Gta 5 will have a big map and more interiors to go into then before. Just go watch the gameplay trailer and that will ensure that there is going to be plenty to do in this game.

  6. I'm not sure if this article has been mentioned before (or its content) http://www.vg247.com...audio-previews/ but I'm slightly disappointed at the total number of songs across the radio stations. I was hoping for triple that.... Was I being overly optimistic? I just feel for the amount of hours I will put it into this game it needed to be a lot more?

Note: the link contains spoilers so if you don't want to know... Don't click it!

    You were hoping for

    750

songs in the game??!! That'd be close to

    40

hours worth of music! Yes, that is a bit optimistic...

Okay, so Rockstar has officially stated in interviews that there are over 240 radio tracks in the game, and we know that doesn't include talk radio. That's nearly a hundred more than San Andreas, and let's not forget the 20 hours of ambient score we'll be treated to outside our vehicles...

Also, for a nice little comparison to Saints Row: Two Saints Row titles have been developed in the time that it's taken V to be completed, and if you add both SR3 and SR4's soundtracks together, you almost get as many tracks as GTA V... (247 to be exact)
