  1. Astronomy is one of my interests along with the natural world. It's more of a casual interest with no formal, structured learning though. I can tell you loads of random things about various different topics but don't have one area where I know everything about it. That applies to my knowledge in general mostly... that's what you get for looking up things on Wikipedia when you're bored. I only know the Plough (and subsequently Ursa Major,) Orion and Taurus.
  2. I did remember hearing that Venus and Jupiter were going to be extremely close together, the closest they've been for a long time. But yes they are Venus and Jupiter anyway, so they aren't stars. Venus is the brightest thing in the sky, and Jupiter is quite bright which is remarkable given its distance from us, but you have to take into account the size - it's much larger than Venus. You can make out the moons of Jupiter with an average pair of binoculars. Anything else you wanted to know?
  3. The fact it took him this long to find the topic here is evidence of people not bothering to actually look through the forums.
  4. I just save every 15 minutes or so, alternating between my two save files. (Given that I have four separate games running that's eight save files.) And as this is my fourth playthrough I know where the danger points are and exactly where and when to save. I do forget from time to time and regret it afterwards when i'm jumped by something that kills me and I lose an hour or so's progress. Since this is my thief character he's relatively weak in open combat and this makes it even more vital to save regularly... I'm only level 21 at the moment but he's still having trouble with even sabre cats doing major damage.
  5. The sad thing is that millions of fucktards - some of whom are present here - will believe that shit. There is no point even formulating an argument against that so called "leaked information." All I can do is laugh in exasperated disbelief at it. Still, I would like to visit the people who persist in fabricating these stories in the dead of night brandishing a claw hammer. I could then blame GTA for the subsequent murder and get let off because I didn't know any better and was just reenacting what I saw in the game.
  6. Sounds like a great film, when's it released?
  7. And they managed to fit all of those quest-breaking bugs on there too. Lol. R* doesn't really use the RPG aspect of levelling up and making your character progressively stronger by spending points on attributes and skills. I'm not sure how that would work if the two companies did a collaborative project. I find the whole QD troll situation amusing, he isn't a troll. He's more of an anal-loving, crotchless-panty wearing pixie.
  8. My PS3 is one of the original ones (can't remember when I bought it.) And I don't get a lot of technical problems any more... I used to, but since I turned autosave off i've had very few crashes. Before they were a regular occurrence after playing for more than an hour, even after playing five minutes once my game crashed. But now I don't get half as many. The lag problems have also become a thing of the past too. The thing i'm having problems with now and what's putting me off playing are the quest-breaking bugs... each one of my game saves has it's own bug. I'm thinking about starting all my characters again to try and get a clean save file with no bugs on it. That means another Nord tank and another Altmer ubermage... both past level 50. Still, my Khajiit thief character hasn't encountered any bugs... yet. But I haven't played that in over a week as i've been playing NV instead.
  9. bOnEs is probably better than me, we've never had a one on one raunchy fisting session 20 minute gunfight but i'm pretty sure he'd end up coming out on top (of me as i'm laying bent and broken in a pool of my own various bodily fluids.)
  10. No i'm not, i'm awful with it off. Even when I was playing it regularly I wasn't that good. I got owned by lots of people better than me.
  11. I hate non auto-aim, and i'm choosing the settings apparently. Just Sayan.
  12. Platform: PS3 Location: Broker Duration: 45 mins Auto-Aim: On Weapons: Powerful Police: OFF Traffic: Parked Pedestrians: OFF Blips: ON Online I.D Display: ON Reticule Health: ON Voice Chat: ON Respawn Distance: Medium Respawn Time: 1 sec Time of Day: Midday Weather: Cloudy Dogs: Barking mad. Rape: After every kill. I think all of that is in order, whoever hosts it I don't mind. You can toss for it... over Pieface's expectant anus.
  13. Yes, but they were pieces of the old era LS. In other words it was a homage to San Andreas, nothing more.
  14. Good game, good game... although really it wasn't that great. I like the fact that in the group shot I am showing my arse and about to be blown up... fun times, before shit got serious yo'. I didn't think you were actually going to bother playing properly.
  15. I choose that Marney chooses the settings. I'm not hosting a game, I don't think my connection would take it.
  16. I will be online at 11... if I see the nun then i'll know it's a no show, if I see the doctor i'll know we're on.
  17. The Reach is my least explored hold, Whiterun is obviously the most as it's so easy to traverse. I'm pretty good with all the main routes between the major cities and a few back routes that shorten the journeys considerably. Whiterun to Riften is a bit of a pain, I really should try going south through Helgen and then east up through Haemar's Shame and past Ivarstead, then follow the river... but I never do. I always go directly east from Whiterun past Valtheim Towers and then have to find a path up the sheer rock face to make it a bit quicker.
  18. Sorry; four, but my point still stands.
  19. Well then this is going to be less than epic. Actually, how the fuck can we have five votes for auto aim if only three are playing?
  20. You miss out on so much doing that... Solitude to Whiterun really doesn't take that long; down through Dragon Bridge, east past Morthal, through Labyrinthian and across the plains. Whenever I see the spire of Dragonsreach in the distance it evokes a certain sense of satisfaction and fulfillment wherever I am. I remember the first time I found out that Labyrinthian was a shortcut between the two, before that I was going round the side of the mountains. I felt uber.
  21. Exactly what I was going to say... and I only tried making them myself last week.
  22. What about all the random noobs?
  23. Expect lots of text at the top left of the screen saying "ViceyThaShizzle detonated"
  24. I love it when I get to a point in a game where I know my way around the map without actually looking at it: out of Windhelm, over the bridge, carry on up into the mountains, over another bridge, past Anga's Mill, carry on until you reach the t-junction going left to Whiterun, past Whiterun and turn right, follow the road down all the way to Fort Sungard, carry on down the long road into The Reach (while picking hundreds of juniper berries along the way,) then up into Markarth. Epic journey.
