Why are you randomly posting in all of these old topics. I think I should tell DuffMan. This has to be some form of spamming.

Being a jigalo would be nice. Lmao!

Drug runner using a Cessna type airplane. You'd have to swoop in low and drop the packages off onto a target.
that would be awesome! I can actualy see this happening

I want to kill people, not play as a fucking waiter.

For me, yes to both. I can easily see a mission where our protagonist poses as a waiter to kill someone, and in the end, a waiter mini-game is made available. Completion of said mini-game gives you free access to food.

Hey, they did it with the valet parking mini-game in GTA SA.

May CJ rest in peace.

I would love to be a cop. I had this weird dream last night that GTA V came out suddenly unexpected, and I had it for some reason. I took off in a squad car (one was the vapid and another was like the old style in San Andreas) and I was on a small Island that you start off on. The protagonist was the old guy and the map was pretty big. There was one big Island at the bottom with the airport at the very top then it lead to smaller Islands off of it. Weird I know.

Anyway back to the cop thing. If you were able to receive custom outfits, or get a special car or something like that, maybe even if the police are more realistic they'll let you off with 1-2 star crimes.

In multiplayer I want three things, multiple types of cop cars, outfits for cops or other things like Red Dead Redemption, and the ability to control your lights only (which I guess is both Single and Multi). I ask a lot I know but it would be awesome considering the amount of Role Plays and Clans I've come across in the past 4 years. Almost every game at least 1 person is doing it.

I wouldn't want to be a cop, but rather a vigilante sporting a cop outfit... If you catch my drift... Point is, some outfits should let you do certain things.

Well yeah even vigilante you get special awards, I'm not saying a full time job in Single Player. In IV you could do cop work, but all you got was an achievement.

Hmph. I almost started a topic (again) to find that someone had created it already.

Now that we know that we will be able to purchase businesses, I think it would be safe to assume we will be able to work jobs to get these businesses started (think SA and VC). From the previews I've read so far, the businesses mentioned are taxi depot, night-club, and Marina. I guess we'll be picking up and dropping off fares should we but the taxi depot, do night-club security similar go TBOGT, as for the Marina.... Maybe something involving underwater exploration? Or boat races?

What do you guys think?

I actually used to go to this club and one of the owners would intervene if he caught people smoking or doing rails. I don't think it's too far-fetched. Besides, lots of owners work for their businesses, especially when they're trying to get the place up and running. Maybe you get to do it a number of times before you start turning a larger profit, then you could choose to work there or not. Kind of like the side-missions in SA.

The paramedic and police missions are just fine if you can do them as side missions. A criminal who also works as a police officer, that just doesn't make any sense though.

But working in a restaurant ? Really ? If you want to play a game where you just go about boring daily tasks and activities and go to work, play The Sims. Or the game of Life..

I would like the following jobs to be in GTA V:

~ Police Officer ( like the Vigilante missions in previous games )

~ Paramedic ( like in GTA San Andreas )

~ Fire-fighter ( also like in GTA San Andreas )

~ Life-Guard ( rescuing drowning swimmers )

~ Animal Control ( dealing with dangerous animals like Bears/ Cougars etc )

~ Bouncer ( for a nightclub/ dealing with violent patrons who at the end of the night, after dealing with them come back with weapons and friends too attack you )

~ Security Guard ( preventing theft/ assaults and vandalism in an enterable mall )

~ Taxi Driver ( like in Crazy-Taxi or the past GTA's )

~ Parcel Delivery ( using a bike to delivery packages around the city against a time limit )

~ Crop Duster ( like the name implies, dust farmer's fields for some extra money )

~ Army Reserve/ National Guard ( navigate obstacle courses, fire at targets, engage with other reservists in one on one combat, learn to operate heavy machinery like artillery and tanks. Fun and you get paid for it )

~ Tabloid Journalist ( annoy the shit out of the local celebrity's by stalking their every movement on the street, and breaking into their homes to collect evidence for interesting news articles )

~ Train Driver ( Drive a passenger or freight train to it's destinations within the time limit, and without derailing and killing all the passengers )

~ Truck Driver ( Deliver your precious cargo to locations around Los Santos and it's countryside within the time limit )

~ Spear Fisherman ( hunt different marine animals in and around the coral reefs off of Los Santos/ the bigger and rarer the animal the more money you receive from selling it )

~ Bug Exterminator ( Get rid of rat and roach infestations from houses all around the City using poison gas )

~ Repo Man ( Franklin's job of using any and all means of getting vehicles back from deadbeats who are behind on their repayments )

~ Enforcer ( Muscle work for a Criminal Syndicate who need help collecting protection money from businesses and individuals )

~ Drug Dealer ( could be made into a full-blown drug economy where you can not only make your own product, but also steal from competitors, do missions to disrupt their operations, and do deals with major suppliers from outside of Los Santos. After which missions need to be done to escort your product too you warehouses in the city, using drug boats, and then fast cars while being pursued by either rival cartels or the police. A lot of this would be kind of similar too the game Scarface: The World Is Yours )

~ Loan Shark ( Loan people money which collects interest over time. Go and break legs and heads if the payments become overdue )

That's about all I can think of for now.

Hunting for dangerous creatures like in RDR. That would certainly make exploring the wilderness that much more enjoyable.

Your haiku had potential, but didn't follow traditional structure. I fixed it for you.

Would be cool to see

A drug dealer dealing drugs

Looking out for cops

Fisher ~ where u can rent/buy your fishing boat

(especially for fishing reasons)

You get to pick a fishing location and decide where to cast you lines or nets for a bigger cost.

You can probably run a fish company

The bigger the fish is you get more money plus

the rarest for additonal money

U can even have a quest where u have to catch a type of fish

I'm hoping for some kind of underwater harpoon fishing. Underwater exploration sounds so exciting, but without being able to defend ourselves from sharks would make it a pain in the ass.
